Serra Golf is a specialist in designing golf courses in all ways, not only for sports projects, but also for urban projects and top tourist destinations. Furthermore, we add an important item as redesigning or updating and upgrading golf courses that have become outdated over the course of time or that did not have a correct design when they were built.

Feasibility Analysis And Preliminary Project
The purpose of this preliminary analysis is to analyze the feasibility of the project, according to the type of the presented site, at the same time as the basic principles and the character of the course are presented. A preliminary project is elaborated which defines the routing of the course. Once the necessary adjustments and modifications are made, a final preliminary project is obtained. At this level, a combined work is performed together with the investor and all the other professional staff taking part in the project, such as engineers, architects and urban designers.

Elaboration Of The Final Project
Once the preliminary project is approved, the preparation of the final project is started; thus, plans are elaborated for the soil movement, constructions of tees, greens, bunkers, irrigation system, forestation and general drainage of the course. Apart from these plans, the specifications of the works to be done and the contract documents necessary for the construction of the golf course are presented.

Once the work chronogram is settled, all the works go along with recurrent visits in all the steps of the construction. In this way, we make sure we will be able to achieve the final proposed goal: To keep design integrity and to obtain a good golf course

Agronomic Consultancy And Maintenance Work
These services are provided through the agronomy engineers of the company who start working at the preliminary project stage and keep on working until the works are completed.

Redesign Services
Among our professional services, we also offer partial or total redesign services for golf courses. This is an important aspect, as many courses have lost competitiveness through the evolutionary changes of the game as well as of equipments and even the player's preparation. Therefore, a lot of talent must be applied to integrate new elements to an outdated golf course, making it possible to be updated and upgraded with partial or complete reforms in greens, bunkers, cross bunkers, tees and lakes, as we are highly committed to returning the golf course the splendour it may have had before.

The design philosophy of Serra Golf is based on two premises; in the first place the golf course must be completely integrated with the environment and geography that surround it and in the second place, it must offer the opportunity that every element of the course serves to golf in its purest sense putting thus a distinctively finishing touch to every project.
The course should allow the development of the strategic golf, where all kind of players can play, in that way, it will be demanding for the experienced players and competitions at a high level and accessible for the average player and even for the beginners. The goal of Serra Golf is to obtain through combined efforts golf course designs with their own identity and the highest quality.

Emilio N. Serra, together with his sons Mariano and Alexandre, makes up the golf course design and building firm. Serra Golf, heir to a name and tradition in the sport, adds nowadays the originality and innovation necessary taking into consideration the changing requirements of design, construction, maintenance and handling of the same.
